Visit to the Anti-Violence Centre in Mestre

The American International Women’s Association of Venice is very proud to lend support to the Anti-Violence Center of the Municipality of Venice; this morning, AIWAV representatives were given a tour of the center headquarters in Mestre and donated 65lbs of women and children’s clothing for local victims of domestic violence.
The center offers protection and support for women who suffer or are exposed to violence, resulting in physical, sexual, psychological or economic harm or suffering. There are also outreach centers in Cannaregio and Lido as well as Mestre.
