Maximize Your AIWAV Membership: Get Involved and Grow

We’re thrilled to have over 40 incredible members in our AIWAV community, and there are so many ways to get involved and make the most of your membership. Since our December meeting, several coworking groups have developed, offering fantastic opportunities to connect, share skills, and make a meaningful impact.

New Coworking Groups:

  • Let's Cook! Support Team: We’ve met a few times to prepare meals together, enjoying good food and great company.

  • Go Crab Go Team: This team is addressing the blue crab invasion in the Venice lagoon. Irene shared valuable insights at our February meeting, and members are working on possible solutions.

  • Carnivale Team: Many of you helped organize our successful Carnivale party in February, bringing our community together for a fantastic celebration.

Create Your Own Coworking Group

As a member, you have the opportunity to propose a new coworking group on any topic that interests you! Whether it’s a hobby, a shared cause, or a fun way to connect with others, suggesting a new team is a great way to bring people together. Simply propose your idea at one of our monthly meetings or reach out to someone on the leadership team to make it happen. We encourage you to be creative and help foster new connections within our community!

Volunteering for Roles Within Teams

As a member, you’re also welcome to step up and take on a leadership role within AIWAV. Formal leadership positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer in order to follow the Fawco guidelines. Information about electing these roles will be coming soon, with voting set to take place in June. If you’re interested in stepping up for one of these elected roles, you can put your name forward in the next two months. There will be more discussion and details about this process at our upcoming monthly meetings.

Volunteering for roles within teams that support the leadership is a wonderful way to actively contribute and make a difference. Here are the teams where you can get involved:

  • Membership Team: Welcome and engage new members, helping them feel like part of our vibrant community. Assist with the administrative aspects of the membership process to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

  • Events Team: Plan and organize events that bring us together and connect with the wider Venice community.

  • Charity/Causes Team: Support charitable initiatives and fundraising efforts, helping us make a positive impact locally.

  • Communication Team: Help with newsletters, social media, and keeping our members informed and connected.

  • Resources Team: Organize valuable resources available in the membership area of our website, where members can share insights and navigate opportunities and challenges in the Veneto region.

  • Public Relations Team: Build relationships with local businesses and media to raise awareness about AIWAV’s work, as well as engage with our membership to foster stronger internal connections.

Why Get Involved?

Volunteering for roles within the teams that support AIWAV is a fantastic way to enhance your membership experience. Whether you’re eager to showcase your skills, learn something new, or connect with others, there’s a team that can benefit from your involvement. By getting involved, you’ll have the opportunity to share your expertise, grow through new learning experiences, and strengthen your connections with fellow members. Most importantly, your contributions will help ensure the continued success of AIWAV, making a positive impact on our community.
