AIWAV Carnival Party Report 2025

The second Annual AIWAV Carnival Party was held at Spazio Levante on Saturday 22nd February 2025. The venue was transformed into a theatrical reimagining of an 18th Century Casino. These spaces, also known as Ridotti or Salotti, were magical private meeting spaces, usually run by women, full of art, music, gambling and intimacy.

On hand to provide the music at this 21st Century Casino were the Sara Longo Trio. Sara's amazing jazz vocals were accompanied by the double bass magic of Alvise Seggi and flickering fingers of Paolo Vianello on the Piano. Later in the evening, dancing continued along to the DJing of Pete Pritchard from Nukleuz Records. Catering was provided on the top floor by local Via Garibaldi bar, Strani, along with a small artisan market and the only real game of chance of the evening, the Charity Raffle.

When guests to the party entered, they were handed a lantern and told to pick a card. Depending on the luck of the draw, the card told them their personality for one night only! Whether these instructions were followed or not stays within the secret walls of the Casino Delle Donne. The Sensory Room was full of things to taste, touch and smell along with an audio walk around Castello and a peep hole down to the photo booth at the entrance to the Casino.

Thanks to the very generous gifts donated to our raffle, AIWAV was able to raise 720€ for our very important causes, details of which can be found here, along with the raffle prize details here. President Julia gave a lovely introduction to what AIWAV is all about and there was a fantastic presence of two other local international organisations, GGI and Internations.
